Cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes...

So as I believe I said in my last post, I have been in Scotland for the past 3 months and opened a cupcake delivery business for an Entrepreneurship class I took here. We called it The Cupcakery St Andrews and delivered fresh cupcakes on Saturdays and Sundays to people's houses or dorms. It was hugely successful and definitely key to my learning about running a food business, which can only help with my dream to open a catering business or bakery within the next few years!

We offered 4 basic flavors each week: chocolate, vanilla, carrot, and red velvet. For the first few weeks, we offered pumpkin spice latte cupcakes, and the remaining two weeks of operation we offered peppermint frosting for chocolate and vanilla cupcakes. We catered a number of events with cupcakes, and even had our business featured in the school's online newspaper!

Here are some pictures from this wonderful experience!

A variety pack which we often sold at the last minute (as opposed to taking orders)

Vanilla cupcakes with cookie dough frosting (these were a hit!)

Our last weekend selling cupcakes before final exams (22 orders and 154 cupcakes...by far our biggest weekend!)

Our last weekly special, gingerbread cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting (unfortunately the ones brought to our final presentation to a panel of judges took a spill on their way in...unfortunate as I think they might have confirmed our First Class Honours grade! ;)

Chocolate with peppermint frosting offered the last few weeks as Christmas came closer
